Notes

'Blue Jacket' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Blue Jacket') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Navy blue flowers open in early to late spring and smell sweet. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Greig's tulip, Blue fescue, and Curly Fries hosta.
