Notes
'Blue Note' reticulated iris (Iris reticulata 'Blue Note') is a bulb for rock gardens, borders, and spring containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant blue flowers open in early to late spring. Deep blue to purple-blue petals are tipped with purple-black and marked with yellow and white. It goes dormant by summer, so plant it where perennial ground covers can grow up around it.
Pairs well with Autumn fern, Little brown jug, Rock rose, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
