Notes

'Blue Star' eryngo (Eryngium alpinum 'Blue Star') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Its metallic blue blooms attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Rock soapwort, Red fescue, and Scentara Pura lilac.
