Notes

'Blue Glitter' eryngium (Eryngium planum 'Blue Glitter') is a clumping perennial for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Steel blue, thistle-like flowers sit on blue stems and blue bracts from early summer into early autumn. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Yarrow, Feather reed grass, and Creeping thyme.
