Notes

'Blue Zinger' blue green sedge (Carex flacca 'Blue Zinger') is a grass for low maintenance gardens, ground cover, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil of most types. It stays evergreen and tolerates drought once settled in. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Greenish-white flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn.

Pairs well with Cardinal flower, Joe Pye weed, and Virginia sweetspire.
