Blush Japanese pieris

Garden uses

Notes

'Blush' Japanese pieris (Pieris japonica 'Blush') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows slowly into a dense, evergreen shrub. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Fragrant flowers open from early to late spring.

Pairs well with Japanese forest grass, Autumn fern, and Saucer magnolia.
