Notes

'Cavatine' Japanese pieris (Pieris japonica 'Cavatine') is a shrub for borders, containers, foundation plantings, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. This dense evergreen grows slowly and has fragrant blooms that attract bees and butterflies. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It reaches 24 to 36 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Korean spice viburnum, Snake's head, and Fountain grass.
