Notes

'Bold Accent' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Bold Accent') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, deep pink flowers with brown centers open in early summer. Each stem holds one bud, and the blooms hold well. John and Dot McFarlane introduced it in 2001.

Pairs well with Blue star, Black Parrot tulip, and Blue-eyed grass.
