Notes

'Bonanza' camellia (Camellia sasanqua 'Bonanza') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The evergreen leaves keep the arching shrub green all year. Fragrant flowers open in autumn and again in winter, and bees and birds visit them. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Mondo grass, Common holly, and Anemone.
