Botanical tulip (Tulipa agenensis) is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late spring. Plants reach 12 to 24 inches tall, so they fit well at the front or middle of a bed.
