Notes
Botanical tulip (Tulipa hageri) is a bulb for rock gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Each stem carries 3 to 5 dark coppery red flowers that deepen in color as they age. The lightly fragrant blooms open wide on warm sunny days to show yellow centers. Give it good drainage and it will naturalize.
Pairs well with Snowdrop, Dalmatian bellflower, Carlton daffodil, and Sensitive fern.
