Notes

'Boule de Neige' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Boule de Neige') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large white double blooms open in mid spring and have a fragrance. Crimson flecks mark the petals, and strong stems hold the flowers on tall, upright plants with dark foliage. Jacques Calot bred it.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Pink Impression tulip, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
