Notes

'Bracken' southern magnolia (Magnolia grandiflora 'Bracken') is a tree for specimen planting, pollinator gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. This evergreen has a conical shape, and its fragrant white flowers open in spring and again in summer. Bees and birds visit the tree. Deer tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Serviceberry, Switchgrass, and Star Gazer lily.
