Notes

'Break O'Day' peony (Paeonia 'Break O'Day') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It blooms in late spring and early summer, and the fragrant flowers are good for a vase. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Keep it away from dogs and cats, since it is toxic to both.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Miss Kim lilac, Stargazer lily, and Christmas fern.
