Notes

'Budd' red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Budd') is a shrub for borders, hedges, winter interest, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows fast and reaches up to 96 inches tall and wide. Yellowish-white flowers draw butterflies, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Hummingbird sweet pepperbush, Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, and Sensitive fern.
