Burgundy Spire magnolia

Notes

'Burgundy Spire' magnolia (Magnolia 'Burgundy Spire') is a tree for small gardens, narrow spaces, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Velvety purple-red outer petals are nearly white inside, which creates a two-tone look in spring. The narrow, columnar tree reaches about 20 feet tall but only 6 feet wide.

Pairs well with Snowdrop, Evelyn rose, and Silver sage.
