Notes

'Burning Bright' peony (Paeonia 'Burning Bright') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single, fragrant flowers are carmine-pink to red and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Praying Hands hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
