Notes

'Kodiak Orange' bush honeysuckle (Diervilla splendens 'Kodiak Orange') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to average soil of most types. Yellow flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. This shrub is drought tolerant, so it handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Sedge, Wild geranium, and Cinnamon fern.
