Notes

'Kodiak Red' bush honeysuckle (Diervilla splendens 'Kodiak Red') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry to average soil of most types. Yellow flowers appear in mid to late spring, again in summer, and again in autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Wild geranium, Sedge, Cinnamon fern, and Canadian hemlock.
