Notes

'Butterfly Kisses' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Butterfly Kisses') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roger F. Anderson bred it. Magenta pink single flowers have cupped, notched petals and a small boss of yellow stamens. The young leaves emerge burgundy and turn green as they mature.

Pairs well with Dog's tooth violet, Royal fern, and Spanish bluebell.
