Notes

'Byzantium' peony (Paeonia 'Byzantium') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers open light pink with peach shading and cream near the petal edges. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Plants stand about 36 inches tall and need no support.

Pairs well with Stained Glass hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Queen of Night tulip, and Miss Kim lilac.
