Notes

'Calypso' peony (Paeonia 'Calypso') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant yellow blooms with red edges open in spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Nassos Daphnis bred it.

Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Nelly Moser clematis, and Greig's tulip.
