Notes

'Camelia' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Camelia') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Krelage introduced it in 1867. You can set it in a mixed border with other plants that share the same conditions. Cut a few blooms to bring indoors.

Pairs well with Paperbark maple, Inkberry, Pink Impression tulip, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
