Notes
'Camellia' peony (Paeonia 'Camellia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant semi-double blooms open light pink with peach shading and age to white, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.
Pairs well with Clustered bellflower, Blue Mouse Ears hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
