Notes

'Capital Dome' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Capital Dome') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears early pure white bomb type blooms on stems about 36 inches tall. The foliage is clean and bright green. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1979.

Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Hairy aster, and Spanish bluebell.
