Notes
'Carbondale' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Carbondale') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are deep rose pink and medium in size. They make a bold color show in the garden and look lovely in a vase. Cut the stems for bouquets when you want to bring the color indoors.
Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Patriot hosta, and Indian grass.
