Notes

'Carillon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Carillon') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Gilbert S. Richmond bred it. The deep rose pink double flowers are large and bloom freely in late spring. Tall, strong stems carry the blooms above dark green foliage, and one stem makes a bouquet.

Pairs well with Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Spotted dead nettle, Queen of Night tulip, and Garlic chives.
