Notes

'Carolina Moon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Carolina Moon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It has bomb type blooms with a light yellow center and white guards. The flowers open earlier than other yellow centered doubles, and the fine stems hold them up well. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Iris, Tiger lily, Queen of Night tulip, and Garlic chives.
