Notes
'Carousel Frolic' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Carousel Frolic') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single blooms are deep pink and soft pink with cream and raspberry tones and some green streaking. They look like cactus dahlias. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and the sturdy stems stand about 26 inches tall.
Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Blue sage, Spotted dead nettle, and Limeglow creeping juniper.
