'T.E. Carpenter' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'T.E. Carpenter') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are medium size and ivory, heavily shaded with yellow and maybe a hint of blush. All the petals sit in perfect circles.
Pairs well with Patriot hosta, Orange daylily, Indian grass, and Stargazer lily.
