Notes

'Cathedral Echo' peony (Paeonia 'Cathedral Echo') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light purple blooms with black flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Royal Purple smoketree, and Black Parrot tulip.
