Notes

'Cat’s Eye Nebula' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Cat’s Eye Nebula') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early blooming semi-double flowers are deep pink with deeper pink veins and black-maroon flares. The flares look like eyes, which gives the plant its name. Ten-year-old plants may reach four feet or more across, so give it room.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Greig's tulip, and Lady of the snows.
