Notes
'Celeste' delphinium (Delphinium elatum 'Celeste') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Tall spikes of sky blue flowers with hints of lavender open in early to late summer. Deer tend to pass it by. Cut off spent spikes and it may bloom again on side spikes in late summer and fall.
Pairs well with Festiva Maxima peony, Hungarian Blue poppy, and Grape hyacinth.
