Notes

'Cherokee' clematis (Clematis 'Cherokee') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms in spring, summer, and autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Give it a trellis or fence to climb.

Pairs well with Clarence iris, Black-eyed Susan, and Little bluestem.
