Notes

'Clarence' iris (Iris 'Clarence') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The fragrant flowers have white standards and violet blue falls, and butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Plants reach 30 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Lemon Chiffon peony, Ice Follies daffodil, and Pinky Winky panicle hydrangea.
