Notes

'Cherry Blossom' Lenten rose (Helleborus hybridus 'Cherry Blossom') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, borders, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. Its semi-double pink and purple blooms have cherry red centers and open from late winter into mid spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Keep pets and children away from it, since all parts are toxic.

Pairs well with Marginal wood fern, American yew, and Northern sea oats.
