Notes

'Cherry Festival' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Cherry Festival') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears bright cherry-red, semi-double blooms in early to mid spring. Each stem carries one bud, and the stems are strong. Toichi Domoto bred it in 1987.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Burnet.
