Notes

'Cherry Luau' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Cherry Luau') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double white blooms have cherry-red streaks and fluted, twisted petals. They open early and reach 4 1/2 to 5 inches wide on strong stems about 28 inches tall. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Wild ginger, Ostrich fern, and Sedge.
