Notes

'Cherry Rose' peony (Paeonia 'Cherry Rose') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The reddish pink blooms have a cream tint and dark flares, open in early to late spring, and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Obsidian coral bells, Jackmanii clematis, and Royal Purple smoketree.
