Notes

'Cherry Tomato' hosta (Hosta 'Cherry Tomato') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. Purple flowers open in early to late summer and again in early autumn, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It stays about 3 inches tall and spreads 9 to 12 inches.

Pairs well with Blue wood aster, Fernleaf peony, and Autumn crocus.
