Notes
'China Snow' amur lilac (Syringa reticulata 'China Snow') is a tree for specimen planting, borders, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant blooms draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Birds also visit the tree.
Pairs well with Rowan, Feather reed grass, and Ornamental onion.
