Notes

'Ivory Silk' amur lilac (Syringa reticulata 'Ivory Silk') is a tree for specimen planting, privacy screens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Creamy white flowers open in late spring and smell fragrant, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It handles drought and salt well.

Pairs well with Amur maple, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Carlton daffodil, and Paula Fay peony.
