Notes
Chinese hydrangea vine (Hydrangea glaucescens) is a climbing vine for specimen use, privacy screens, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. White flowers open from early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and growth is slow, so give it time to climb.
Pairs well with Cross vine, Japanese forest grass, Beautyberry, and White fir.
