Notes

'Chum' peony (Paeonia 'Chum') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows upright to about 33 inches and bears broad, fragrant, deep pink blooms that attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Standing Ovation little bluestem, Maltese cross, and Polish Spirit clematis.
