Notes

'Claude Gelée' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Claude Gelée') is a perennial for borders, cut flower use, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, creamy white flowers are fragrant and open in late spring. Lemoine bred it, and it makes a good cut bloom. It grows more dwarf than Alsace Lorraine and blooms a few days later.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Garlic chives, and Queen of Night tulip.
