Notes

'Clytie' peony (Paeonia 'Clytie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Single white blooms with dark red flares open in late May and are fragrant. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Strong stems hold the flowers well for cutting.

Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Foxglove, Korean spice viburnum, and Greig's tulip.
