Notes

'Coco Yellow' marigold (Tagetes erecta 'Coco Yellow') is an annual for borders, containers, cut flowers, and specimen planting. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 36 to 42 inches tall and has fragrant yellow blooms that draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it easy to care for.

Pairs well with Soleado zinnia, Matucana sweet pea, and Red fescue.
