Notes
'Soleado' zinnia (Zinnia haageana 'Soleado') is an annual for borders, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It sits low on the menu for deer. It grows fast and spreads in a creeping habit up to 24 inches wide. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Gloria cosmos, Kees' Orange African marigold, and Red fescue.
