Notes

'Compassion' rose (Rosa 'Compassion') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fragrant blooms open in spring, summer, and early autumn, and bees and butterflies visit them. Jack L. Harkness bred it in 1973.

Pairs well with Lavender, Jackmanii clematis, and Brookside crane's-bill.
