Notes

'Conical Hill' peony (Paeonia 'Conical Hill') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The mid purple blooms have a dark center and open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Primrose, Garden phlox, Korean spice viburnum, and The President clematis.
